Corporate Credit Scams

Corporate Credit Scams
While most of the places you will apply for business credit are legitimate you need to be aware of corporate credit scams that exist out there. They mainly prey on new businesses that are new to the concepts of securing business credit. These types of corporate credit scams also look for businesses that are desperate to secure funding for the business.
Many corporate credit scams are operated online because there is less risk of getting caught. They will ask you to submit as substantial processing fee and then you never hear from them again. This can be very frustrating for a business that is trying to get up and running.
To help prevent your business from falling victim to corporate credit scams take the time to look into the history of the business. Check the Better Business Bureau for complaints. You also want to look into how long they have been in business and where they are located. Follow up to make sure the physical address on their website exists. Corporate credit scams can happen to anyone so be cautious when you are working with new business.
It is sad that many unsuspecting new entrepreneurs don't know a few simple credit things that could mean the difference between a "Going Out Of Business" sign, or a "We Are Hiring and Expanding" sign displayed in the window of their new business.
